EPL: Why Manchester United won’t win Premier League title with Lukaku – Scholes

Former Manchester United legend, Paul Scholes has said that his former team cannot win the Premiere League title with Romelu Lukaku leading the attack.
Scholes believes that the Belgium international lacks the capacity to thrive at Old Trafford and questioned his work rate.
Lukaku has scored a total of 20 Premier League goals in 40 starts since his arrival at the club, including the four goals he scored this season, but Scholes is not convinced that he is good enough at the moment to lead the United attack single-handedly.
“I’m just not sure you are ever going to win the league with a goal scorer like him,” he told ESPN.
“I don’t think his play outside of the box is good enough. I’m not sure if he works hard enough but he’s still a young man who has done well and scored a lot of goals.
“He’s quick and strong, but Lukaku is one of many United players who look like they’re short of confidence.
“I don’t think he realises how good he can be, but he needs help because who else can play centre-forward at United now?”
When asked if Anthony Martial and Marcus Rashford could play as strikers, he added, “Maybe, but they look like wingers.
“And they’re getting slagged off by the manager. We had four centre-forwards, [Andy] Cole, Teddy [Sheringham], Ole [Gunnar Solskjaer] and [Dwight] Yorke and when they went through bad spells, which every footballer does, someone else was waiting to come in.
“That helped their performances because they knew that if they didn’t perform then they would be taken off. Maybe Lukaku needs that, too.”

A history of training ground bust-ups between teammates

The row between Sergio Ramos and Sergio Reguilon during Real Madrid's training on Monday was just one of the many that have occurred over the years between teammates. Some of these cooled down relatively quickly, but others led to the intervention of other colleagues to relieve the tension. Here you can find some of the most notorious arguments that have taken place at training during the last couple of decades. Nelson Semedo's challenge against Neymar frustrated the Brazilian, who exploded against his teammate. After the intervention of Sergio Busquets and Javier Mascherano, the current Paris Saint-Germain forward stormed out the session after ripping off his training kit. A teammate threw the ball towards Dani Carvajal's face and the Spaniard, enraged by his colleagues' action, kicked it back towards Lucas Vazquez and Marco Asensio. During Los Blancos' 2006 pre-season, Thomas Gravesen's challenge on Robinho resulted in the latter throwing a punch at th...
