Arsenal youngster Reiss Nelson signs new long-term deal with club and joins Hoffenheim on a season-long loan

Arsenal have tied Reiss Nelson down to a new long-term contract, but he will spend the next season out on loan after agreeing a move to the Bundesliga with Hoffenheim.
The 18-year-old has proven himself a real prospect since breaking into the Arsenal first-team last season, making 16 appearances under Arsene Wenger during the last campaign.
There were concerns he could seek a move away from the club with just one year left on his deal. But those have been put to bed after he signed an extension and he will go out on loan to gain more playing time.

I'm delighted,' Nelson told Arsenal Player. 'It's been a long time coming now, so I'm just happy everything's sorted out and I can sign a contract for a great club.
'It's my boyhood club. From a young age, from about eight years old, I've been supporting the club. The likes of Thierry Henry have encouraged me as well, so ever since then I've just loved the club and really fallen in love with it.'
Nelson won Premier League 2 player of the season last year as Arsenal won the competition for U23 sides.
He scored nine goals and made three assists during his 11 appearances in that league, as well as playing an integral role in the early stages of the senior sides' Europa League campaign.

The midfielder will be reunited with good friend Jadon Sancho in Germany, a fellow English youngster who opted to move abroad, albeit permanently with Borussia Dortmund.
He will wear the No 9 shirt during his year in the Bundesliga and claims Sancho has told him positive things.
'He said that it's very rough and very competitive, but he says that I'll enjoy it,' Nelson continued. 'He said to just play my game and I'll be fine.
'I'm very excited. They've got a great manager out there as well, so I just can't wait to get on the pitch and do what I can do, and show everyone what I can do.'
