Harry Kane tells Klopp & Liverpool to ‘put money where their mouth is’

Harry Kane delivered a slightly confusing dig at Liverpool following Tottenham’s 3-0 victory over Manchester United last night.
The English striker gave Spurs the lead, while two goals from Lucas Moura helped make it three wins from three for Mauricio Pochettino’s side, who are now level on top of the table with us.

But afterwards, when questioned about our start to the campaign, he said we should ‘put our money where our mouth is’…
“People will be talking about Liverpool and those kind of teams and but they will have to put their money where their mouth is,” he said, cited in the Mirror .
“That’s massive to come here and win the way we did, it’s a big statement. We wanted to start the season well and got three wins out of three. It’s been a fantastic start.”
In January, Liverpool made Virgil van Dijk the world’s most expensive defender, in the summer we made Alisson temporarily the planet’s dearest keeper, and added Naby Keita and Fabinho to the mix too – so we can only assume Kane’s speaking metaphorically!
In fairness to Spurs, there’s been little said about their chances of winning the title because they didn’t buy a single player in the summer – but they’re a genuinely excellent side with class all over the pitch.
We play them on September 15th following the international break, which is a fixture we traditionally struggle with – especially considering it kicks off at 12:30 and is at Wembley.

Tottenham Coach, Pochettino Lays Foundation For Real Madrid Job

Mauricio Pochettino has already laid the foundations for his departure from Tottenham as reports link him with the vacant Real Madrid manager's role, according to former Manchester United defender Gary Neville. Spurs lost 1-0 to Manchester City at Wembley on Monday , a result that leaves them fifth in the Premier League, five points behind Pep Guardiola's men. The club failed to spend any money whatsoever in the summer, not recruiting a single player, while the likes of Liverpool and Chelsea both spent over £100 million ($131.5m). The Reds and the Blues, along with City, are unbeaten thus far this season, with the title race likely to feature at least three key players. And Neville thinks that, eventually, Pochettino will want to join a club that can give him the resources he needs to compete at the very top of the game, whether that is in England or further afield as rumours persist that he could replace Julen Lopetegui at Santiago Bernabeu . "Pochettino has always...
