Lucky escape for family after car transporter hits broken down vehicle

There was a lucky escape for a family when a car transporter collided with their broken down vehicle on the A180 in North Lincolnshire.
The occupants of the car were safely sat on an embankment when it was hit by a car transporter carrying a number of vehicles, which then overturned.

The driver of the truck was taken to hospital suffering "minor injuries".

The road has been closed westbound from the A160 to Barnetby Top for most of the day as a "complex" recovery operation takes place.
