David Beckham, his wife Victoria and their four children were spotted catching up with Elton John and his two sons over lunch on the island Île Sainte-Marguerite, in Franceon Tuesday afternoon.
The footballer, 43, was due to appear at Lavender Hill Magistrates Court over claims he drove his £200,000 Bentley at 59mph in 40mph west London zone, but did not attend in person.
The Beckham clan were spotted leaving La Guérite restaurant half a mile off the coast of Cannes, on the French Rivera with the music legend, 71.

Victoria, 44, cut a chic figure in a white vest and a cream maxi skirt as she kept a watchful eye on sons; Romeo, 15, Brooklyn, 19, Cruz, 13, while their seven-year-old daughter Harper followed behind her brothers.
The fashion designer paired the look with her signature oversized shades and decided to ditch heels in favour of white fringed sandals.
Meanwhile, David looked in high spirits as he dressed for the sunny climes in a blue button-up shirt, white trousers and straw hat.
The former England ace denied speeding after his Bentley was clocked travelling at almost 20mph above the speed limit in January.
Beckham was due to appear at Lavender Hill Magistrates' Court on Tuesday but did not attend in person, instead heading to lunch with Elton and his boys Zachary, seven, and Elijah, five.
Victoria and David have been close friends with the iconic singer for years, even choosing him to be Brooklyn's Godfather.
David shared a snap with the musician on Instagram on Tuesday, writing: 'Uncle Elton.... We have known each other now for 25 years .. Fun times with each other.'
Brooklyn appeared delighted to be reunited with Elton patting his brother Romeo on the back as they left the luxurious Mediterranean restaurant, located half a mile off the coast of Cannes.
Elton was casually-clad in a yellow palm tree print shirt and shorts and held his sons hand as they walked along the coast.
David appeared to be putting his speeding trial to the back of his mind, as the hearing took place in London.
A case management hearing will be heard at Wimbledon Magistrates' Court on September 4 - where Beckham is again not expected to appear in person.
According to the charge sheet, he sent his not guilty plea by post on August 17.
Beckham is accused of exceeding the 40mph speed limit while driving through Paddington, central London, on January 23, on the A40 flyover.
It states: 'On January 23 2018 at 5.37pm the defendant drove Bentley on A40 near North Wharf Rd W2 to A40 and near Bramley Rd W10 Gantry, subject of a local traffic order, namely The A40 GLA Road, at a speed exceeding the legal limit of 40 miles per hour.
'The speed recorded by means of Safe Zone was 59 miles per hour.'
If found guilty he may be hit with a disqualification from driving or a fine.
Beckham is regularly spotted driving in London in his £160,000 Bentley, often with son Brooklyn or other family members.
