EPL: Jorginho set new record with Chelsea’s 0-0 draw against West Ham

Chelsea midfielder, Jorginho, has set a new Premier League record as the Blues dropped their first points of the season against West Ham on Sunday.
Chelsea had won their opening five Premier League fixtures before their trip to the London Stadium.
The Blues, however, struggled to find a way past West Ham’s stubborn defence and were forced to settle for a point following a goalless draw.
Meanwhile, Jorginho has continued to be the metronome at the heart of Chelsea’s midfield
The Italy international, who was signed from Napoli in the summer set a new Premier League record by registering 191 touches during the game.
This is more than any other player since records began in the 2003/04 campaign.
The Brazilian-born-star had held the previous record alongside Manchester City’s Fernandinho when he registered 186 touches in Chelsea’s 2-1 win over Newcastle United last month.
He also attempted 180 passes against West Ham, an average of one every 30 seconds, which is more than any other player since Premier League records began.
